As mentioned in the previous song, this song retains a lot of the feel, dynamics and other characteristics of part one, but also injects a new series of chords and vocal style into certain sections. It made sense to mirror both these songs in a verse/chorus/verse/chorus format, so it wasn’t laziness that made me follow the formula of part one – i just didn’t want to have any major deviations lest they not be seen as natural song siblings. This one is the darker of the two from a lyrical standpoint, and i guess that’s because i felt i injected all the love i needed into part one so this was is more the realist version of events. Both of these songs were recorded live with minimal overdubs and edits – and whilst that’s still an alien world for someone so into slick productions – it suited these two songs perfectly.
